Aerobics
- Department of Sport Arts and Culture requested 3 aerobic clubs in uMshwathi Local Municipality to support them with aerobic equipment which were Thembelani Aerobic- Ward 4, Siyakha fitness club- Ward 11 and Rise Trust Zumba- Ward 9. The Handover was done by uMshwathi Mayor Mr. Zondi with other Councilors on the 8th June 2023.
Boxing
- There was uMshwathi Boxing structure election as well as handover of boxing equipment to ward 10 and Ward 4 by uMgungundlovu Olympic Style Boxing on the 8th June 2023.
Soccer
- Swayimane United FC was promoted in 2021 to play at SAB Regional League of which they won the league in 2023. They went for playoffs where they were position 1 and were selected to represent uMgungundlovu District at Inter Provincial play offs at Dundee. They won at Inter Provincial Playoffs and were promoted to play for ABC Motsepe League.
- A female soccer player by the name of Fanele Mdonsela from uMshwathi Municipality was selected to be part of under 17 Banyana-Banyana National Team and as uMshwathi Municipality she was supported with Soccer Boots.
