Vehicles were stopped and inspected to ensure that they were roadworthy and that they were not overloaded.

Mayor Zondi has urged all operators and stakeholders in the transport industry to prioritise the safety of the public. He further appealed to motorists and drivers to refrain from driving under the influence of alcohol.
The Mayor emphasised that road safety operations will continue across all areas of uMshwathi Municipality as part of ongoing efforts to ensure safer roads and protect the lives of all road users.
