UMshwathi Municipality held a certificate handover ceremony to formally recognise and celebrate students who successfully completed their training under the Monyetla Programme.
The ceremony provided an opportunity to acknowledge the students’ perseverance, dedication and commitment throughout their training, while also celebrating the successful conclusion of a journey that commenced approximately a decade ago.

The training was initially undertaken approximately 10 years ago through the Monyetla Programme. However, due to circumstances that resulted in delays in finalising the certification process, the students had to wait for an extended period before receiving formal recognition of their achievements.
In May 2026, the students successfully fulfilled the outstanding requirements through Coastal TVET College, enabling the long-awaited certification process to be concluded.

The certificate handover therefore marked a significant milestone for the beneficiaries, providing formal recognition of their skills and qualifications. The occasion also demonstrated the importance of perseverance and continued commitment, despite the challenges and delays experienced along the way.
UMshwathi Municipality congratulates all the graduates on this important achievement and wishes them success as they utilise the knowledge, skills and qualifications acquired through the programme to pursue further opportunities and contribute meaningfully to their communities and the local economy.
