The Duzi Interest Group Forum convened a meeting on 25 March 2026 at the uMshwathi Municipality Thusong Centre, under the leadership of Chairperson Thobeka Tshabalala.
The meeting primarily focused on critical matters relating to information management and record-keeping. Key discussions included the administration of beneficiaries, the issuing of BIC and RR materials, and preparations for audit readiness.
In addition to administrative matters, the forum also reviewed a book titled “AKUKHO QILI, IMIPHUMELA and ANGIKAZE NGIKUBONE OKUNJE’ authored by Ayanda Mchunu.
The meeting concluded with plans for an upcoming reading competition, as well as preparations for Library Week celebrations aimed at promoting a culture of reading within the community.
uMshwathi library staff expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to attend the meeting, noting that it plays an important role in ensuring effective learner support and proper management of library resources.
