Having noted that majority of health issues in general and those affecting men especially above 30 and 40 years have caused a lot of social ills such as gender based violence where some man decide to physically abuse their women because of failing to satisfy them in bed.
Further noting that most men are scared to talk about their health problems until they become worse and that most males rarely do health checkups.
Believing that prevention is better than cure hence Men’s Forum can play a huge role in motivating and mobilizing men to familiarize themself with Health Institutions.
Therefore, uMshwathi Local Municipality in partnership with Health Systems implemented a workshop for representatives of ward based Men Forums to train them so that they can conduct awareness campaigns in their respective wards. All these is done to ensure that the Municipality leaves no one behind.
