The UMshwathi United Football Club and UMshwathi Ladies Future Stars recently made a generous donation to Georgenau Combined School.

As part of their community outreach initiative, the football club, which utilizes the school’s grounds as their home stadium, identified a need to support learners with school uniforms.

In collaboration with the school’s Principal, Mr. Mdunge, and the school management team, the football club’s owner, Mr. Phila Chamane, facilitated the donation of school shoes to deserving learners.

Mr. Mandla Zondi, the Mayor of uMshwathi, who attended the event in his capacity as technical support for the team, encouraged female learners to participate in sports.

The school’s Principal, Mr. Mdunge, expressed his gratitude for the donation, highlighting the additional support provided by the teams for maintenance projects at the school.

Mr. Chamane reiterated the team’s commitment to providing future support for school uniforms.
