The MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Mrs Bongiwe Sithole-Moloi formally launched the extension on uMshwathi Community Service Centre on 5 April 2024. She was accompanied by Cogta Team , including ‘the rose’ Mam Bev Khanyile who is well known for her support to all Thusong Service Centres in KZN.
MEC and her team were warmly welcomed by Honourable Mayor of uMshwathi, Cllr Mandla Zondi who was also accompanied by all uMshwathi Councillors, Municipal Manager Mr Nhlanhla Mabaso and HoDs.
Present was Honourable Mayor of uMgungundlovu District Municipality Mr Mzi Zuma who was accompanied by his Deputy Mayor and Honourable Mayor of uMkhambathini and Mayor of Richmond Municipality
Managers of all Sector Departments in uMshwathi CSC ( Home Affairs , IEC, SASSA, uMgungundlovu Customer Care and Department of Labour) expressed their appreciations for the additional space provided to ensure that community members will receive far more better services then before.
This team led by MEC proceeded to launch other uMshwathi projects which include the opening Wartburg Mini Factories and Cool Air Skills Centre.
The program was finalised in New Hanover Sport Field where MEC engaged with more then 3000 community members who shown great appreciations and trust on government to continue providing them with quality services.
The event was closed by Local Mayor ,Cllr Mandla Zondi who then thanked all guests and members of the public who attended the event.
